Established in 1868.
Josephine and Peter McFarlane bought The Park Tavern from Bass Charrington thirty two years ago, and it remains a family-run pub to this day.
It was first licensed on
4th March 1868, whilst Queen Victoria and Benjamin Disraeli were having tea and a nice piece of cake.
Talking of cake, we don't serve it. We have a wide range of bar snacks, but if you are looking for a spot of lunch, pop in for an apéritif en route.
Come for the beer.
We have 6 ales on the bar. Young's ordinary and Fuller's London Pride are residents.
There are a few regular visitors, and many surprises. Our beautiful little cellar (and very experienced staff) keep them all in prime condition.
Guinness, lager, cider - well, naturally.
Our wines and spirits might well surprise you in their quality and variety, if you are easily surprised of course.
Come for the sport.
Check out the sports at the bottom of the page. Rugby - big time. Soccer, sure! Cricket - batty. Gee-gees - giddy up!
We subscribe to Sky and BT Sports. We can show two games at once on the big screens, and smaller ones around the bar.
We are not a big pub, so the bigger the event, the earlier you should get a wiggle on.

As a family pub, we have family values - don't come for a drink, have a drink and a chat while you're here.
As Dr. Samuel Johnson said;

Well-behaved children, with their well-behaved grownups, are welcome until 6.00pm.
Good dogs, on a lead of course, get a pat and a biscuit.
